A prospect reached out to us because they were interested in trying out one of our tapping arms. PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions, out of Bellefontaine, Ohio, recently purchased an OMAX waterjet, but they were stuck manually tapping and chamfering each of the waterjet holes.
PowerBuilt was looking to speed up this process, so they came in-house to test the FlexArm on their parts. They needed an arm that could tap and chamfer up to 3/4” in mild steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel. We tapped the parts using the GH-24 hydraulic arm because it has a 7/8” tap capacity. Once they got their hands on the arm, they were able to see how quick and easy it was to tap through each material.
If your still manually tapping or looking to free up a CNC machine, give FlexArm call or schedule a tap test today.
